It's what everyone is looking for. It's what everyone thinks will satisfy them. It seems so real, yet impossible to find. He's going out with her, she's dating him...blah, blah, blah. The world we live into today, no matter what age, is motivated and desparate for love. To be loved. To love someone. To have somebody that loves you more than anyone else. It's like a girls farytale. A guys goal. But somehow through it all something just goes wrong. There is this pressure to find that love, and get it before everyone else. Or to try and keep what you think is that perfect person for as long as you can. What's the point of this? Someone's gonna end up confused. Someone might be hardbroken. It could be awkward. Is there any good way this can work? Because I know that I want it. I have friends and people in my life who want it. We desire it probably more than a lot of other things. Some people are afraid of it. Because they've tried to look so hard and have found nothing but crushed pieces of themselves later on. Some think that you have to give them everything to win them over, or keep them forever. But have you noticed the divorse rate now a days? And did you know that no one will be married in Heaven? The relationship will be even stronger than it was on earth with no distractions.
What I'm trying to say here is True love...is it really out there? Are we trying so hard to find it when it is right infront of us? Or should we just be more pacient and not try at all? I think the only real answer is that you cannot find true love without God. There is nothing wrong with trying to find that person...but there might be when it is not in God's timeing. If it's convienint it is probably a test. We always think about right here right now at the time, but then the rest of the time we think about the future. It's so stupid. I watch as people fall into this same trap all the time. Why can't we just listen to God for direction?
This may still be question without answer. But I know that if we first find true love in Jesus, like he did in us, then maybe God will personally bring a true love for only you sometime soon. But for now, I'm just in high school...and honestly I know that I'm not going to remember every guy in my life. And that they won't remember every girl either. So to me, it's a waste of time...but it's so hard to keep out of the mind.
The best thing to do is pray...it makes it a tad easier. Pray for the person you might marry someday. God already knows who it is. Pray for them to have strength along with you and that you can both keep living your lives through God...to someday find eachother. It won't be what you expect. So don't expect it.
I guess that is all on this confusing topic. Hope it brought you somewhere or at least made you think.

The bestest deal
So...It is thanksgiving. Just in case you weren't sure. I got up this morning very early. Thinking about a lot, so now I blog it. We get this huge paper with like ads from every store and currently they are scattered all over the living room floor in my house. My parents always like us to go through and tell them what we want for Christmas. To me, sometimes the holidays just seem to be a big cliche. It's all about Giving and Getting and Shopping and Getting the best deal. I think sometimes the best deal isn't one we should look for,or have to be thankful for, or something we should be proud of even. The best deal is something that couldn't be better anywhere else. But I wonder, if we are looking for something better than everything else, where are we supposed to find that? Do we search the ads? Do we keep running until we find it? Or do we just wait for it to find us? I don't know if this is making any sense but I guess I want to know what is the bestest deal out there. Is it true happiness? Family? Success? Failure?
What has been the bestest deal for you? Not something to be thankful for, but something to be appreciated, something that came into your life and it just can't get any better. To me, that is Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's the time of the year where it can't get any better. The smile on your families faces when they open their gifts...when that pumkin pie is brought out. This can't get much better....It's the best deal I could ever ask for.
Thank you.

Fear of Falling
Life's been good but busy. Gymnastics mostly...I've been having some problems with my backhandspring and I have to get it but I have yet to. I'm afaid of falling. And jumping backwards into the air. And just going backwards without anyone to catch me. It brings me back to life. Sometimes we don't want to do things out of fear of falling. Even though we know God can catch us, we still don't want to do it and fall or fail. But truth is, life isn't about winning. So go ahead and fall, God will catch you. That is something I'm trying to work on this week. Here is one of my attempts with my dad as a spot in my backyard. You'll see what I mean about my fear of falling, even when I know someone is there.

PSALM 63:1
Oh God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you: my soul thirsts for you, and my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
Sometimes it seems easier to go through life without God. I mean, you'd think, since so many people do it, we can do everything on our own too. We don't need help from our friends, or our parents, or even God. This is one of the biggest lies society believes. When everyone around us can seem so happy without God, we think we can too. So we stop believing he is our God. We stop seeking him. We don't thirst for him anymore. On and on..but having God in our lives is like that verse. We do need to believe, no matter what everyone else believes, if we already know that HE is our God, and always will be when we seek him or not. Try and make it your goal this next week to seek God more than anything else. Thirst for him like you've just ran a mile and need water. Maybe your life is running, the only drink you'll find is God.
This verse is so true. We are living in a dry and weary land where there is no water. Everyone gets so used to no water that we start thirsting for something else. When the water is right there for us if we just believe and ask for it. Ask for the water, and it will take care of your thirst and cleanse your body.

~Philipians 4:13 I can do all things through HIM who gives me strength.~
Ever felt like giving up?
"This isn't working!"
"What's the point of this?"
"This MUST be the end!"
Thoughts like this in our minds at that time always seem like the right thing. But are they? The verse up there is one I always go to when I feel like giving up. Philipians 4:13. This week, however it may go, work on memorizing this short verse. Then when you feel like giving up, just say it to yourself. Nothing is impossible with God. We can do all things, no matter how difficult, through HIM, and he'll give you strength. So trust in God this week because God is in control.

In the Shadows
So I've been thinking a lot lately of how we live as Christians. You can live in the light, or in the dark right? That simple, but what about the gray areas? What about the shadows? To me it seems that too often we find ourselves lurking in the shadows, only going into the light every one in a while when we really find something real. The truth is it's all real, and if we're spending most of our time in the shadows, then we really aren't fully experiencing God's love for us and all that he made us to do. No one can see us when we're hiding in the shadows, no one can see us if we're in the dark, I guess what I'm trying to say here is if we don't trust God to show us the purpose he's given us in life and step into the light, then we'll be stuck in the the shadows for a long time, with no purpose at all. I know that I want to be seen and heard because if I am, then someone can see or hear me and have a chance to come out of the dark. So I say from here on out, step out of the shadows, and let God show you His light and all he's planned for you.

how to get...
So I wanted to type in "how to get Jesus in your life" on google and see what would come up. All I had to type in was "how to get" to see some suggestions. Here are the 10 google came up with.
How to get pregnant
How to get a passport
How to get rid of a Hickey
How to get a guy to like you
How to get rid of warts
How to get rid of acne
How to get rid of love handles
How to get rid of ants
How to get a six pack
How to get a divorse in Idaho
I noticed that most of the things were things that if you got it or didn't have it, life would seem better. But really how would life get any better without God in your life? I think that should be the very first thing, but this just shows that in the world we live in, it's not even in the top 10 things. I don't know why I decided to blog this but I guess it's just something to think about.
